Monsoon covers most parts of Central Monsoon Zone
The south west monsoon has further progressed into most parts of Central India’s monsoon zone. An upper air cyclonic circulation is seen near Kanara coast, which will be responsible for bringing in some heavy rains along Goa, coastal Karnataka and Kerala. In the north, a trough at mean sea level is seen running from Rajasthan in the west to the north eastern states. Under its influence, isolated heavy to very rains with some extremely heavy rains likely over parts of Sub Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim. Some heavy rains also likely in Bihar and the surroundings.
In the south, sky watchers in Chennai may witness a morning laced with cloud cover which could possibly hinder a clear view of ISRO’s launch from Sriharikota. Rains can be expected in north interior and coastal TN along with South AP from late afternoon Thunderstorms.

Chennai will stay warm and cloudy with a day time high of 33/34 C. Rains may be expected later in the day.
Coimbatore will have a wonderful weather with day time high settling around 30 C.
Madurai will see a warm and sultry day with a day time maximum of 37 C.
Trichy will see a warm day with day time maximum of 36/37 C.
Vellore will stay warm with a day time high of 32/33 C.
