A Dry day ahead for TN

Atmospheric factors coupled along with a weak sea breeze front continues to suppress convective rains over many parts of the state.  This condition is expected to change in the coming days as the Monsoonal low pressure zone moves north towards the Himalayan foothills. Though this seasonal movement reduces rainfall along the West coast and Central states, it increases chance of rainfall over TN. Breezy conditions will prevail through the day with a possibility of an isolated passing shower.

City Outlook:

Chennai – Mostly clear and breezy with a high of about 35 degrees and a low of about 28 degrees. Possibility of a passing shower late evening.

Coimbatore – Breezy and pleasant with a high of about 30 degrees and a low of about 21 degrees.

Madurai – Warm day with a high of about 37 degrees and a low of about 27 degrees.

Tiruchi – Clear day with strong winds touching about 50 km/hr at times. High of about 38 degrees and a low of about 27 degrees.

Vellore – Some clouds and westerly winds through the day. High of about 33 degrees and a low of about 25 degrees.
