TN’s tryst with evening thunderstorms to stay for a while

The Indian monsoon is seen very active and robust over larger areas of Northern India, NE India,. The axis of monsoon trough  at mean sea level is seen running close to foothills of Himalayas.
Meanwhile a feeble offshore trough runs along the Maharashtra coast extending till Kerala coast. In addition, the presence of a UAC (Upper Air Circulation) over Rayalaseema & neighbourhood has resulted in widespread rains along the aforementioned regions and is likely to continue for a day or two.
Down South, dry and warm weather with a fair mixture of late evening Thunderstorm at isolated places is going to be the order of the day for a while.

City Outlook:

Chennai – Partly cloudy skies to herald the day break. Intermittent periods of sun shine will see a high of 34 degrees and a low of 26 degrees with an isolated late evening shower.
Coimbatore – A breezy and nippy morning in the offing. Day high will continue to remain moderate with a high of 32 degrees. Few stray showers over the area.
Madurai – Warm and sunny conditions to prevail with a high of 36  and a warm night at 27 degrees.
Trichy – Few scattered clouds laced with brilliant sunshine over the region. A high of 35 and a low of 26 degrees.
Vellore – Partly cloudy skies leaving way to a warm afternoon. A high of 34 and a low of 25 degrees. Late evening development of thunder clouds resulting in a shower or two.
