West Coast rainfall set to continue in tandem with drier peninsular weather
South West Monsoon is expected to be back to its vigorous mode on West coast and Central India as the swathe of low pressure area resets over the gangetic plains. The seasonal N-S trough across the East coast continues to persist. Offshore trough across the West coast is expected to slightly strengthen continuing to bring heavy showers along Konkan coast. Numerical models also indicate formation of low pressure zones in Northern Bay of Bengal which will benefit parts of West Bengal, Odisha and adjoining interior parts of the country. Peninsular India will see a break in rainfall with only isolated convectional rains possible during the late evenings.
