Dry and torrid days to continue in Tamil Nadu

The dry westerlies in association with delayed / weakened sea breeze would make sure that the oppressive weather pattern is set to continue in Tamil Nadu. The coastal areas and nearby districts such as Chennai, Tiruvallur, Kancheepuram, Villupuram, Tiruvannamalai, Delta region, Thoothukudi and other nearby districts close to coast are going to witness scorching weather. Light rains may occur in north coastal district Tamil Nadu in isolated locations.

City Outlook:

Chennai – Sweltering day likely with maximum temperatures of 36-37 C. A light shower possible in the evening in isolated places. Nights will continue to be warm due to dry westerlies from land and weak sea breeze.

Coimbatore – Maximum temperature of around 33-34 C. Night will be pleasant with no rains.

Trichy – Hot day with maxima peaking to 38 C with no chance of rains.

Madurai – Madurai could see temperatures close to 38 C. No chance of rains in the day / night. Nights will be comfortable compared to other cities.

Vellore – Warm day with temperature settling close to 35 C. Night will remain warm.
