Cyclone KYANT brings Bay under Watch

The cyclonic system “Kyant” formed over mid Bay of Bengal, lay centered around 800km east of Vishakapatnam. It is likely to move towards west for some time and Weather numerical models indicate it to turn South west towards South Andhra Coast. Most parts of Tamilnadu to witness dry weather due to the prevailing moisture being sucked by the said system leaving the region largely dry with temperatures hovering  around 34 degrees. Sky will partly cloudy over large areas.

The upper air circulation near Kerala has become less marked. It will give some showers to South Kerala in next 24 hours.

Chennai – Partly cloudy skies at day break. A warm day beckons the region. A high of 34 and a low of 25 degrees is expected.
Coimbatore – A comfortable breezy morning on the cards. Turning slightly warm as the day wears on. A high of 33 and a easy and comfortable night at 23 degrees.
Madurai – Warm weather conditions continues to desist. Mercury to peak at 34 degrees. Night will be pleasant.
Trichy –  Max temperature may peak at 34 degrees with a minimum around 25 degrees.
Vellore – A calm morning bereft of any breeze. A high of 35 degrees, thanks to few patchy cloud cover. A warm night with Temperature around 22 degrees possible.
