Cyclonic system “Kyant” makes steady progress in a WSW direction

The cyclonic storm “KYANT” over central Bay of Bengal is seen moving west-southwards and is likely to weaken into a Deep Depression and subsequently into Depression in next 2-3 days. The system is likely to cause rough weather along coastal regions of Odisha and Andhra Pradesh with isolated heavy rains likely in few places.
Few numerical weather models picking rains for North Tamil Nadu when the aforementioned weather system remnants moves towards TN-AP coast as weak disturbance by 28/29th Oct . On the other side, IMD which is an official agency for the country have stated in their bulletin that  Northeast monsoon likely to commence by end of this month.

Chennai – A slightly cool morning to begin the day. Noon is expected to be warm and dry with lower relative humidity levels. A high of 34 degrees on cards.

Coimbatore – A cozy and comfortable morning. A bright and sunny day in prospect. A high of 33 degrees to expect.

Madurai – Another warm day in the offing. Day max to hover around 34 degrees.

Trichy – Few scattered clouds at day break. A warm and sunny afternoon. Max temperatures to peak around 34 degrees.

Vellore – A hazy morning leaving way to cloudless sky over the region. Day high should be in the vicinity of 33 degrees and a relatively cooler night at 23 degrees.
