Weak monsoon conditions observed over TN

North East monsoon has been in a subdued state for the last few days and this trend is expected to continue over most of this week. A low-pressure area is expected to strengthen and move towards TN this weekend which could bring back strong easterlies and increase the chances of precipitation. Additionally, a trough is expected to bring light to moderate isolated showers over southern parts of the state on this day.

City Outlook:

Chennai – Mostly clear with a high of about 31 degrees and a low of about 23 degrees.

Madurai – Mostly cloudy with chance of light rainfall. High of about 31 degrees.

Trichy – Generally cloudy skies with maximum of 32 degrees and a minimum of around 25 degrees.

Coimbatore – Pleasant with overcast conditions. High of about 29 degrees and a low of about 19 degrees.

Vellore – Mostly clear with a high of about 31 degrees and a low of about 19 degrees.
