Moderate to heavy rainfall at isolated places in store for South TN
North east monsoon (NEM) rainfall activity over South East India continue to remain subdued. The trough of low at mean sea level over equatorial Indian Ocean & adjoining South West Bay of Bengal persists. Under its influence, a low pressure area is likely to develop over South West Bay of Bengal off Srilanka coast by first half of next week.
Rainfall activity in south TN is set to gradually increase in days to come. Moderate to heavy rains is likely to occur at isolated places over Kanyakumari, Tirunelveli, Tuticorin, Ramnad, Nagapattinam and Karaikal districts. North TN may have to be contend with isolated rains as of now.

Coimbatore – A cool morning leaving way to a rather warm afternoon. Day high will stick around 32 degrees. Evening showers a possibility.
Madurai – Partly cloudy skies over the region. A day max around 33 degrees with a chance of a shower or two.
Trichy -A windy morning in prospect with isolated showers. A high of 32 degrees.
Vellore – Few scattered clouds around with the day high hovering around 33 degrees. Comfortable night at 23 degrees.
