Cyclone Mora set to make landfall in Bangladesh
Cyclonic storm Mora is forecasted to intensify further and make landfall near Chittagong, Bangladesh on Tuesday morning. Heavy flooding and windy conditions are expected as storm surge threatens to inundate the heavily populated coastal areas. The storm should quickly weaken after landfall and continue to move North East bringing heavy rains over West Bengal and North Eastern states.
South west monsoon will continue to advance under the influence of this storm as westerly winds strengthen. IMD, the premier meteorological institute has announced that SWM will set in over Kerala by this month end. Meanwhile, typical summer conditions will continue over TN with fiery sizzling days and uncomfortable nights.

Coimbatore – Mostly sunny and windy with a high of 34 degrees and a low of 24 degrees. Chance of thunderstorms developing over evening.
Madurai – Hot day with a high of 30 degrees and a minimum of 27 degrees.
Tiruchi –Sunny with a high of 39 degrees and a low of 28 degrees.
Vellore – Hot with a high of 41 degrees and a minimum of 29 degrees.
