Dry Weather to continue over Tamil Nadu
Monsoon will continue to be active along west coast during the next 24 hours. Meanwhile, in Tamil Nadu dry weather is expected to prevail with one or two isolated places can expect some light showers late during the day. The Northern Limit of Monsoon (NLM) continues to pass through Lat. 20.5°N / Long. 60.0°E, Lat. 20.5°N / Long. 70.0°E, Valsad, Nasik, Parbhani, Adilabad, Narsapur, Paradip, Digha, Kolkata, Krishnanagar and Lat. 27.4°N / Long. 87.7°E.
Favorable conditions are developing for further advance of southwest monsoon into remaining parts of Coastal Andhra Pradesh, west, central & northwest Bay of Bengal, some more parts of
Odisha and some parts of south Chhattisgarh during next 48 hours.
City Outlook:
Chennai – Hot day on the cards with periods of cloudy weather. Maximum temperatures could hit 37-38 C.
Trichy – Blistering heat is likely to blanket the city making the maximum hit 38 C. Slight chances of rain exist.
Madurai – Balmy afternoon up ahead with the mercury hitting 39/ 40 C.
Coimbatore – Lukewarm weather ahead with the temperature capping at 30 / 31 C.
Vellore – Hot afternoon ahead with the maximum hitting 36 C. Rainfall possible in the afternoon.
