The Memorable August rain streak to continue in TN
Southwest monsoon has been active over Kutch, coastal and interior Karnataka regions over the past few days. Heavy rain would continue along the west coast, the northern Plains, north eastern states and isolated rains would prevail over the rest of the country.
As far as Tamil Nadu is concerned, the subdued phase of light rains may give way to a fresh bout of Isolated Thunderstorms with an enhanced momentum in the coming days. Many places in North TN and Chennai would get benefitted as well.

Chennai – Cloudy day with a high of about 34 degrees. Possibility of isolated thunderstorms towards the evening and night.
Vellore – Mostly cloudy and warm with a high of about 36 degrees, chances of thundershowers towards the evening/night.
Madurai – Partly cloudy with a high of about 35C. Possibility of spotty showers during afternoon/evening.
Coimbatore – Cloudy day with high of about 31C with a persistent cloud cover during the night.
Trichy – A hot day with clouds and sun, max temperature hovering about 37 degrees followed by a cloudy night.
