South Peninsula interiors continue with golden patch of thundershowers

South West Monsoon is on a golden patch in the South Peninsula interiors for past few days especially in the sub divisions of South Interior Karnataka, Rayalaseema and Tamil Nadu. Model consensus suggests that this scenario is expected to continue for next few days with an impending fresh circulation in the vicinity.

Ongoing spell of thundershowers in the interior parts of Tamil Nadu is all set to continue on the back of a cyclonic circulation located in the south west Bay of Bengal and adjoining coastal areas. Interior districts of the state will continue receiving heavy thundershowers by late afternoon/evening with some places getting isolated heavy falls whereas rains in Coastal areas of the state will trend lesser.
