Scorcher of a month ahead
Tamil Nadu is all set to bake as we enter into the warmest month of the year before the summer monsoon sets into the peninsula. Numerical weather models indicate above normal temperatures across most parts of the state barring places close to the coast. Interior parts of TN will experience quick thunderstorms mainly during the overnight hours, through this week.
City Outlook:
Chennai – Warm with a high of about 36 degrees and a low of about 28 degrees.
Vellore – Sunny and hot with a high of about 39 degrees and a low of about 27 degrees.
Madurai – Clear with a high of about 38 degrees and a low of about 27 degrees.
Trichy – Sizzling with a high of about 39 degrees and a low of about 27 degrees.
Coimbatore – Mostly clear with a high of about 37 degrees and a low of about 26 degrees. Chance of heavy early AM thunderstorms.
