Above normal temperatures checks in across TN
The entire state of Tamil Nadu along with the other peninsular regions continue to experience above normal temperatures making situations uncomfortable. Many stations in TN have crossed 40 C, with Vellore recording the highest at 41.1 C. This heat will stay here for a few more days and rains are in no hurry to offer a respite.
The moderating influence from sea based winds having no role now, is making the situation worse across the state.
City Forecast:
Chennai will have to experience a hot and humid day with maximum soaring up to 36/37 C with suburbs feeling a little more heat. Nights to stay slightly uncomfortable.
Madurai to swelter under hot sunshine with maximum temperature settling around 39/40 C
Trichy will see another hot day with maximum settling around 39/40 C
Coimbatore will stay dry and hot with temperatures settling around 38 C as max temp.
Vellore to stay hot with day time maximum settling around 40 C
