Cyclone “Roanu” all set to travel along the Coromandel coast

The depression over SW Bay of Bengal has progressed Northwards and subsequently consolidated into a Deep Depression. Now the system lies over west central Bay of Bengal off AP coast and it is expected to intensify into a cyclonic storm  & move away northeastwards brushing the coast of Andhra, Odisha and finally towards Bangladesh. Due to the movement of this cyclonic storm close to the coast of Andhra Pradesh & Odisha, rainfall would be heavy to very heavy in most coastal regions. Isolated extreme heavy falls likely over one or two places. Sea conditions would be very rough all along the coastal regions of North TN, AP & Odisha. Fishermen are advised not to venture out into sea.
Heavy to very rainfall likely at few isolated regions of Kerala and Isolated Thunderstorms likely in one or two regions of S.interior Karnataka
Hot and Dry weather would prevail over rest of the country.

Chennai: A cloudy morning at day break. Post noon expected to get slightly warmer with the rains abating .A day high of 31 degrees and a low of 26 degrees.
Coimbatore: A cozy and comfortable morning. Few scattered clouds around. A day high of 31 degrees and a low of 24 degrees.
Madurai: Partly cloudy skies. A warm day ahead with mercury again peaking at 37 degrees. A low of 25 degrees.
Trichy: Few patches of clouds hanging around the region. Getting slightly warmer around noon with a day high of 34 degrees.
Vellore: Generally cloudy with some brakes of sunshine around noon. A day high of 31 degrees and a comfortable night at 25 degrees C.
