Drier weather expected in TN over the next few days

The low pressure area over northeast and adjoining northwest/east central Bay of Bengal persists.

Heavy to very heavy rains may be expected over Konkan and Goa during next two days. Heavy rains is also likely over parts of central India and adjoining north and east India. North Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Odisha may also see substantial increase in rainfall in the coming days.

Tamil Nadu may have relatively drier weather when compared to the past few days with only isolated rainfall expected during next two days along with slight rise in temperatures.

Moderate rains will also continue over Kerala and Karnataka.

Chennai – A good breezy and somewhat cloudy morning clearing up as day progresses with maximum of around 35 degrees and minimum of 28 degrees.

Madurai – Partly cloudy sky with maximum of around 37 degrees and a minimum of 26 degrees.

Trichy – Partly cloudy skies with maximum of around 36 degrees and a minimum of 26 degrees.

Coimbatore – A above normal maximum of 34 degrees and minimum of 23 degrees with chances of light rains may be expected over the region.

Vellore – Generally cloudy skies coupled with a breezy morning with the maximum of around 35 degrees and a minimum of 25 degrees with thundery development expected during late evening/night.
