Dry weather to prevail over Chennai

The trough of low at mean sea level persists over SW Bay of Bengal and adjoining Srilanka coast. This system will not have any influence with respect to rains in the State. The one to watch out over the weekend is the Upper Air Circulation (UAC) which presently lies over South Andaman sea. This will descend as  a Low Pressure Area (LPA) around 26-27th November and will move towards Tamil Nadu around 28th. Entire State may remain dry today with isolated rains here and there.
