Few showers seen amidst heat in Interior TN
The much expected Kathiri season began with a friendly note across coastal regions of TN .Most parts of the TN coast started the day with skies filled with scattered low level cumulus clouds. However the favourable southeasterly winds along with timely arrival of sea breeze helped in restricting the temperature from rising. Interior TN continues to remain hot with prevailing oppressive conditions. Similar conditions are seen for Thursday also
Isolated thundershowers would occur in one or two places over South interior TN especially the Madurai-Dindigul belt. Kodai will pick up these showers as well. Western parts of TN could also see the odd shower by evening. Due to line of wind discontinuity, isolated thunderstorm activity might occur over Telangana & Rayalaseema. It may be fairly widespread along S.Interior Karnataka, ghat areas of North Kerala, Central Kerala in the evening hours.
