Hopes of rain revive for TN as September winds wind-up
Widespread rains are expected over parts of UP, Uttarkand , Himachal, Haryana ,Delhi and Isolated showers over TN, Coastal AP and the Andamans. The conditions are set for a potential monsoon withdrawal from north west India around the 28th of September. There is a Trough at sea level that runs from Telangana to Kanyakumari, bordering Rayalseema and regions of North interior TN, this may fetch isolated showers across the region.
After a rather sober September, hope awaits for parts of TN for revival of Thundershowers. The rain span and intensity is anticipated to increase over the next few days and expected to persist throughout the last week. North TN and Chennai’s chances too, look bright to receive isolated rain spells starting Today.

Chennai – Mix of sun and clouds with a high of 35° C . Chances of Isolated thundershowers during later part of the day.
Vellore – Mostly cloudy with maximum of 34° C with a shower around the evening.
Madurai – Partly cloudy and warm with some dry air , maximum may hover around 36° C.
Trichy – Partly cloudy with a maximum of about 36° C. A shower or two during the afternoon/evening.
Coimbatore – Mostly cloudy with a high around 32° C. Isolated showers are possible during the day.
