Hot day in stake for Interior Tamil Nadu
Spring Equinox has just passed by and sun has already crossed the equator to enter the northern hemisphere. Summer weather is beginning to be felt across the interiors of Tamil Nadu where sharp rise in the day time temperatures is expected. In particular, South interiors of the state (Madurai zone) will be hotter as mercury hovers around 38/39C mark. Western and Northern Interiors will also show the warming trend in the coming days. Night temperatures will continue to be normal to near normal which is palpably pleasant.
In North, patchy thundershowers will break out in Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal and North Eastern states. They could be accompanied by gusty winds in certain places.
City Outlook:
Chennai – Noticeably warmer and hazy day with highs of 35C. Night temperatures should be near normal at 24C.
Vellore – Very warm and sunny as max settles at 36C. Comfortable night ensues at 22C.
Trichy – Hot and sunny with highs of 38C and lows of 24C.
Madurai – Hot and blazing sunshine with highs of 38C and lows of 24C.
Coimbatore – Hot and sunny with highs of 37C and lows of 23C.
