Hot, Humdrum Weather Likely In Tamil Nadu
The dull, hot weather is likely to continue in the extreme Southern peninsula with intense heat likely in some pockets of Tamil Nadu. The strong westerlies are likely to delay the coastal regions consolation in the form of sea breeze, which would pave way for hot weather to persist into the night.
One or two places in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh could experience showers. In the other half of the country, bountiful rains are likely to continue in Kutch with very heavy rains likely in eastern Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. East Indian states could also chip in with some heavy rainfall amounts.

Chennai – A hot and dull day likely with maximum temperatures of 36-37 C. A light shower possible in the evening.
Trichy – Balmy day ahead with the mercury climbing up to 37-38 C. An isolated shower could pop up in the district late in the day.
Madurai – Intense heat on the cards as the thermometer could record temperatures up to 37-38 C. Nothing much in the rain front.
Vellore – Modest temperatures rising up to 35-36 C could lead into a warm evening with a mild shower in the district.
Coimbatore – Warm day ahead with a maximum temperature of around 33-34 C.
