Low formed over SE Arabian Sea, rainfall likely to be subdued over TN for next 48 hours

Yesterday’s UAC over Lakshadweep has intensified into a LOW Pressure over SE Arabian Sea. Trough of LOW over South Andaman Sea remains in same area and the upper air cyclonic circulation extends upto mid level. It is likely to get intensified into a LOW in next 24-48 hours.

Rainfall over TN likely to remain subdued till 15th November. The LOW forming over South Andaman Islands likely to move westward for the next few days and would reach SW Bay by 15th. This system likely to strengthen further. Hence heavy rain likely to commence once again from 15th November across the state.

Today’s Forecast – Widespread heavy rainfall likely over most places of Lakshadweep and heavy rain likely at many places over Kerala.

Rain or Thundershowers likely to occur at a few places places with heavy spells over South Coastal AP and South Tamil Nadu. Rain or Thundershowers likely at one or two places over Rayalaseema and North TN.
