Moderate rain expected in South Tamil Nadu

The trough of low at mean sea level over central parts of south Bay of Bengal is expected to move towards south west Bay and induce rain spells across Southern Tamil Nadu.

Places like Kanyakumari, Tirunelveli, Thoothukudi and Ramanthapuram will get moderate rains particularly the places along the coastal stretches. Temperature will remain normal across the north coastal regions of TN.

City Forecast:

Chennai: Normal temperature to prevail in the city with maximum around 34 C. It will be cloudy than a normal day.

Coimbatore: March is usually an hot time to visit kovai, the temperature will peak around 37-38 C.

Madurai: Surprise showers on the cards for Madurai, late in the evening / night not before temperature rising to 36-38 C. The rains will cool the city at night / morning.

Trichy: Will see a normal March day with temperature settling around 36-37 C.

Vellore: The fort city will see day temperature of around 36 C with nil chance of rains.
