Monsoon Onset over Kerala likely in the next 4-5 days

The Indian sub continent is gradually preparing itself to host one of the world’s most unique Monsoon system that will be covering the country over the next few weeks. Conditions are getting favorable for the onset of Monsoon rains over Kerala during the next 4-5 days and alongside, the bay branch is also expected to march further north. In the meantime, an upper air cyclonic circulation that is seen aloft Lakshadweep waters is running its mechanism to trigger convective thunderstorms in Kerala, coastal Karnataka, and the Lakshadweep islands. And on the other side, a similar synoptic circulation floating aloft bay offshore Andhra coast will be responsible for setting up cloudy skies with rains at some places in the region. Temperatures in Tamil Nadu will be close to average for this time of the year, with places like north coastal TN to experience slightly above normal day time highs. Northern and western interior districts of TN can watch out for some evening Thunderstorms, quite heavy in a place or two.
