Monsoon rejuvenation on with heavy falls expected in Kerala
The off shore trough is seen getting strong off Kerala coast and this will pave way for heavy rains in Kerala and parts of south Karnataka. In Tamil Nadu, the ghat areas of Valparai in Coimbatore dt, Nilgiris, Theni and Kanyakumari districts will see rains with heavy rains in some pockets.
Other places of TN, particularly north Tamil Nadu will continue to get thunderstorms with the change in weather pattern.
City Outlook:
Chennai – To see a dip in day temperature at 34-35 C. Showers are possible at some pockets at evening/night.
Madurai – Cloudy day with mercury ranging between 34-36 C with isolated chance of light rains.
Trichy – Similar to temple city, the maxima will be range around 34-36 C with feeble chance of rains.
Coimbatore – Pleasant day with mercury settling at 30-32 C, with chance of showers during the day.
Vellore – With rains cooling the city on Sunday, there will be considerable drop in temperature at 34-35 C with chance of thunderstorms at evening/night.
