More rains to affect TN in the days to come

The Lower pressure area (LPA) continues to persist over East Central and the adjoining west central Arabian Sea. This will bring some isolated heavy rainfall over South TamilNadu.
Meanwhile, a trough of Low which is located over South east bay of Bengal and the adjoining areas is expected to become a Low Pressure Area in next 24 hours. Numerical weather prediction models foresee some significant development of this LPA and the likelihood of its possible impact in TN from next week.
A combined effect of the above 2 systems had already caused heavy rains in Chennai, Tiruvallur and Kanchipuram districts. Heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected over the next 5 days.
