Possibility of spotty showers over the weekend

Conditions are more favorable for advancement of southwest monsoon over many parts of Indian states. A low pressure area continue to exist over North West Bay of Bengal off north Andhra and south Odisha. This is expected to bring rain or Thundershowers over many places of Odisha, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and adjoining areas.

Western disturbance as trough, Upper Air circulation and a less marked low pressure area prevail over different parts of country and same would bring heavy to very heavy rain over interior parts of Indian states which would further enhances the South west monsoon over the continent.

One or two places over North interior TamilNadu may have light to medium rain and Chennai city is expected to have rainy weather early next week.
Moderate rains are expected over Chennai city over the weekend.

Chennai: Mostly cloudy. One or two places in city may witness isolated shower or thunderstorm in the evening/night. Maximum temperature is likely  to settle at 35° C.

Vellore: Partly cloudy with maximum temperature of 34 ° C and a chance of a shower or two.

Madurai: Mostly sunny  with maximum temperature of  38 ° C.

Trichy: Partly cloudy and warm .Max Temperature would be around 38 ° C.

Coimbatore: Mostly cloudy with some chance of showers in the evening/night. Max temperature should hover around 31° C.
