Rains associated with Depression expected to play spoilsport on voting day

The Well-Marked Low Pressure Area is expected to intensify into Depression and move towards the central Tamil Nadu Coast by Tomorrow.
Squally winds 50-60 km/hr are possible to lash the central Tamil Nadu coast with widespread rains expected in South Tamil Nadu – Central Tamil Nadu coast.

City Forecast:
Chennai – Light rains to start with, making it a perfect day to cast vote with Temperature dipping to 31-33. Rains will start to pick up later in the day.
Madurai – One of the heaviest May day rains in recent time awaits the Temple City. People are expected to vote as and when there is break in rains. Temperature to dip below 30 C at 28-30 C.
Coimbatore – A perfect monsoon like day for the Kovai people to exercise their rights, the day will be mostly cloudy associated with light rains. Maximum will be around 30-32 C.
Trichy – Steady rains to lash the city from morning with intensity picking up later at Night. Might compete with 2012 (101 mm in 24 hrs) for the wettest day in recent years. Temperature will dip drastically to 28-29 C.
Vellore – The moderate rains will start only after people casting their votes from evening with temperature well below normal at 33-34 C.
