Rains expected along Western Ghats and South TN districts

The upper air cyclonic circulation over the Comorin area is now seen located close to Maldives and adjoining Lakshadweep area. Under its influence scattered rains are expected across the state, more confined to districts along the Western Ghats and Southern districts of TN. Rest of the state will experience dry weather. Day time temperature could see an appreciable rise by a degree across northern districts.

Moderate rains likely over Nilgiris, Dindigul, Coimbatore, Theni, Tirunelveli, Tuticorin and Kanyakumari.

Chennai can expect a fair weather with partly cloudy skies. Some isolated areas may see some drizzles.

Coimbatore to remain cloudy with a chance of light rains.

Vellore will remain partly cloudy and mostly fair weather.

Trichy will have a cloudy day with a very little chance of light rains.

Madurai will remain partly cloudy with a chance of rains.
