Rampaging Rains returns to Coastal Tamil Nadu
The Trough of low over Central parts of South Bay of Bengal has moved and now lies over SW Bay as an upper air cyclonic circulation (UAC), extending upto 3.6 KM above mean sea level.
This will induce a Low Pressure Area (LPA) and return the flooding downpours gradually to Coastal TN districts including Chennai, Puducherry and parts of the Southern Peninsula from today. The threat of downpours is expected to shift northward along the East coast during this week.
Moderate to dense fog would occur at isolated places of Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland & Tripura
Chennai – Cloudy condition with few spells of heavy rain over many parts of city. Max Temp would be around 30C
Vellore – Cloudy weather with a few thunderstorms. Max temperature may touch 30C
Madurai – Mostly cloudy conditions expected in the city. Max temperature would be around 29/30C
Trichy – Cloudy weather with medium thundershowers in the afternoon. Max Temperature would be around 29C
Coimbatore – Partly cloudy weather with some sun. Max Temperature would be around 28C
