A depression lies over central and adjoining south east Bay of Bengal. This is likely to initially move east-northeast towards Myanmar coast, with further intensification likely into a cyclonic storm in the next 24-48 hours. A west northwest track is likely thereafter. Scattered thunderstorms possible over parts of Kerala, Lakshadweep and Andaman-Nicobar islands. Below normal minimum temperatures likely over most parts of interior peninsula.
Parts of South TN and the ghat areas are likely to see scattered thundershowers/light rain including some parts of the Delta.
