Showers and Thunderstorms may cheer North Tamil Nadu

A wet start to the week for North coastal Tamil Nadu has also seen a dry mid week punctuated with hot and humid conditions around coastal areas of Tamil Nadu.
The upper air cyclonic circulation over NE Bay of Bengal and the neighbourhood extending upto 5.8 km above mean sea level persists and has company in another upper air cyclonic circulation over coastal Andhra pradesh & neighbourhood between 3.6 km to 5.8 km above mean sea level tilting southwestwards. These twins would bring some rainfall activity over North TN. Cloudy conditions with isolated to scattered thunderstorms possible through evening/late tonight in norther interior, north west interior Tamil Nadu, coastal areas of Tamil Nadu including parts of Chennai and neighborhood and in few areas over central interior Tamil Nadu.

City Outlook:
Chennai – The sky condition is likely to be generally cloudy. Light to moderate rain is likely to occur in some areas with maximum temperature of 34° C. One are two places in city may have isolated heavy shower or thunderstorm in the late evening/night.
Vellore – Mostly cloudy with maximum temperature of 33° C and has a moderate chance of thundershower in the day/evening.
Madurai – Partly cloudy with maximum temperature of 35° C. City may witness isolated thunderstorms in parts.
Trichy – Partly cloudy. Maximum temperature may rise upto 37° C. Region may have medium showers.
Coimbatore – Pleasant weather in the city and the region. City has a chance for a shower in the afternoon. Max Temperature may not rise beyond 31° C.
