Stray Thunderstorms likely in North Western interior TN
The upper air cyclonic circulation over North interior Karnataka has become less marked. There is a possibility of a stray shower over North Western interior parts of Tamilnadu in the evening.
It will be a hotter end to the weekend with highs of 40 C in many areas of Central Interior TN. Coastal areas of Tamilnadu will continue to have some relief from the blistering heat through sea breeze fronts. Any slim chance of a shower will be confined to areas along western Ghats area for the next two days. The precipitation that has hit western areas earlier this week has been a welcome event although a few farmers have suffered due to their produce being hit by the strong winds.

Chennai – Day will be warm and partly cloudy. Maximum and Minimum temperature is likely to be around 37 and 28 C respectively.
Madurai – It will be a partly cloudy day with max temperature range bound at 38-39 C. There is less chance for rains in the city.
Vellore – Mostly sunny with scorching heat. Max temperature would be around 40-41 C leading to a very uncomfortable to the residents.
Trichy – Mostly sunny and hot. Max Temperature would be around 39 C.
Coimbatore – Partly cloudy with a stray thunderstorm. Max Temperature would be around 36 C.
