Thunder Showers Likely to Continue over isolated parts of TN

The upper air circulation persists over south west Bay of Bengal close to South Andhra coast. It’s likely to move towards Central Andhra coast and cause widespread rain over Andhra and isolated thunderstorms over TN. The axis of monsoon trough is seen running close to Himalayas at mean sea level. Meanwhile a feeble off shore trough runs parallel to Maharashtra coast extending till north Kerala, it’s likely to result in good  rainfall along Konkan and North Malabar coasts. Chennai city has a good chance for getting good convective thunderstorms late evening or night.

Chennai – Partly cloudy skies likely to persist through the day.  A high of 34 and a low of 26 degrees with an isolated late evening shower over the area.
Coimbatore – A breezy day with a cloudy afternoon likely. Day high will continue to remain moderate with a high of 32 and a low of 23 degrees likely.
Madurai – Warm and sunny conditions to prevail with a high of 36  and a warm night at 27 degrees.
Trichy – Few scattered clouds laced with brilliant sunshine over the region. A high of 35 and a low of 26 degrees.
Vellore – Partly cloudy skies leaving way to a warm afternoon. A high of 34 and a low of 25 degrees. Evening Thunderstorm likely over isolated pockets of City.
