Thundershowers to make a comeback over isolated parts of TN
Monsoon rains likely to get enhanced over North Indian states, adjoining regions of Himalayan foothills as monsoon trough is set to shift its axis away from its actual position. This would ensure rains over the region in the days to come.
Down south, peninsular India which was hot and dry over the last few days has some cheerful news on the rain front. Numerical models are in good agreement with favorable conditions surfacing and creating thundershowers extending over a period of 7-8 days for parts of TamilNadu, Puducherry, south interior Karnataka and Raylaseema.
Specifically, coastal districts like Chennai-Tiruvallur, Kanchipuram, Cuddalore, Pudhukottai and interior districts like Perambalur, Ariyalur, Trichy, Salem, Vellore, Krishnagiri, Erode would get maximum benefit from these spells.
