TN to witness blistering heat while Coastal Kerala will continue to see showers

The north-south trough runs  from Telangana to south Tamilnadu   and extends upto 1.5 KM above mean sea level. Kerala coastal districts will continue to receive moderate rains for another day .


Many parts of TN will see temperatures soaring above 38 degrees celsius  Heat wave like conditions may prevail over western and central interior districts for a week due to clear sky condition. People residing in these parts are advised to stay indoors during the daytime.Afternoon Sea breeze may be prominent in coastal areas of TN and would give the much needed respite from the heat. Uncomfortable weather conditions during both day and night will be experienced over interior parts of the state.

City Outlook:

Chennai – Partly Cloudy. Maximum temperature may rise upto  37.5° C and will have very warm weather. Sea Breeze may give relief in the afternoon.

Vellore – Clear sky and temperature may touch the maximum of  40° C.

Madurai – Partly sunny with warm weather expected. City may witness maximum temperature of 39.5° C.

Trichy – Mostly sunny with maximum Temperature of  40° C.

Coimbatore – Partly cloudy with maximum heat of  38° C.
