Southern Peninsula to brace fair weather conditions whilst Northern regions continue to embrace cold conditions

The trough of low at mean sea level over South Andaman sea and adjoining Equatorial Indian ocean persists. In addition to the above mentioned synoptic activity, the upper air circulation over Maldives and adjoining Lakshadweep area extending upto 0.9 Km above mean sea level persists.
Western Himalayan regions is all set to brace a fresh western disturbance as an upper air system in few days time. Meanwhile most parts of Northern India, north east regions will continue to be under the umbrella of dense to very dense fog conditions resulting in very poor visibility. Almost entire north India, Central India, few pockets of Odisha will continue to experience cold wave conditions with minimum night temperatures plummeting to 3 or 4 degrees C at isolated places.
Meanwhile Southern peninsula will embrace fair weather conditions with slightly above normal high’s and lows in the next few days.

Chennai – The day break will be reasonably comfortable, few stray clouds hanging around the region. A high of 30° celsius and the night mercury levels will be around 22° celsius.
Coimbatore – A comfortable morning, staying cozy and breezy through the day with an high of 29° celsius and a low of 21° celsius.
Madurai – A relatively pleasant morning giving way to a warm day with an high of 33° celsius and night to remain slightly warm with a low of 23° celsius.
Trichy – Few scattered clouds around the region, a high of 32° celsius and and a low of 22° celsius.
Vellore – Shallow to dense fog over the area. Mid day temperature should see an high of 30° celsius and a calm and comfortable night with a low of 21° celsius.
