LPA Persists and lies over South East Bay
Yesterday’s Low Pressure Area (LPA) persists and now lies over Southeast Bay and adjoining equatorial North Indian Ocean with the associated upper air cyclonic circulation extending up to 5.8Km above mean sea level (MSL). Moderate to intense convection could be observed over the region occupied by the low pressure as per the satellite imageries. The LPA is very likely to become well marked during the next 24 hours and move predominantly in a west-northwesterly direction in the coming days. Another trough of low pressure at M.S.L from Comorin area to west coast of India till goa also persists.
Isolated rainfall activity to continue over south coastal Tamilnadu and Kerala during the next two to three days. Rest of Tamilnadu will remain dry with fair weather conditions during the same period.
