Precipitation scenario likely to shift westward from South TN
The trough of low at mean sea level over the equatorial Indian ocean and adjoining south west bay which had brought in some cloudy and rainy weather across parts of south Tamil Nadu and Kerala would still continue. The said weather scenario will slowly eke its way out westwards. Under its influence moderate rains are expected over parts of Kerala, but a decrease in rains over TN. Rest of the state will experience partly cloudy skies and fair weather. Coastal districts will see some moderating effect from sea based winds. Meanwhile, parts of Sikkim is expected to receive some hail and squally storms over the next 24 hours, with almost fair weather expected in the rest of subcontinent.

Chennai will experience sunny to partly cloudy skies with maximum temperature hovering between 34 and 35 C.
Coimbatore will be hot and sunny with maximum settling around 36/37 C.
Madurai to stay very warm with maximum soaring up to 37/38 C.
Trichy will stay hot and sultry with a maximum temperature of 38 C.
Vellore will experience sunny conditions with maximum staying around 37 C.
