Rain Likely over Interior Tamilnadu

Many parts of interior Tamilnadu for the past 3 weeks suffered from heat. Now its the time for the interiors to get some relief. Moist winds from Kerala, making some good thunder development over interior Tamilnadu. Places like Salem, Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Erode, Nilgiri, Dharmapuri has a good chance of getting moderate thunderstorms for the next 2 days.

We can also notice a sharp convergence that will occur late afternoon, which may trigger good amounts of thunderstorms today. On the other hand Kanyakumari, Madurai, Ghat areas of Tirunelveli district also has also a fair chance of thundershowers. Regions around Kozhikode/Trishur and areas close to western ghats  and adjacent places likely to se some showers.

CHENNAI –  Warm and uncomfortable day ahead to look out with the Max around 36c and Min around 28c with RH max around 82%.

VELLORE – To turn out into a warm day with the Max around 38c and Min around 24c with RH max reaching 79%. Partly cloudy skies possible.

COIMBATORE –  Will Have a sunny day with The Max nearing 37c and Min around 23c with RH max around 80%. Good chances for thundershowers late afternoon.

TRICHY – Dry and discomfort Weather likely over the region with Max around 37c and min around 24c with RH max around 71%. Partly cloudy skies possible.

MADURAI – A hot day with Max is Expected To Be Around 39c and min around 24c with RH max around 75%. Chances for light evening showers.
