Malabar Coast set to ignite with monsoon in the driver’s seat

Two UAC’s (Upper Air Cyclonic Circulation), one off the Karnataka-Goa coasts over the Arabian Sea and another one over Bangladesh and Tripura persists. The off shore trough along the Karnataka-Kerala coasts lingers on. Under its influence, heavy rain likely at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka and Kerala. Heavy rain likely over parts of Konkan and Goa and North eastern states. Thunderstorms accompanied with squall likely over parts of North West India and the Himalayan states under the influence of a western disturbance.   Heat wave conditions likely over parts of MP and Rajasthan.
Light to moderate thundershowers possible over parts of interior North TN. Light rain possible over parts of West and South TN with heavy rainfall likely at isolated places over the Ghat areas of South and West TN.
