Low Pressure Area forms and moves away from TN coast
An upper air circulation (UAC) over the Bay of Bengal off the Andhra coast descended to sea level as Low Pressure Area (LOPAR). It is now lying off South Odisha – North Andhra coast. As it wanders away, most places of Tamil Nadu will remain dry barring north Tamil Nadu and the ghat areas of Nilgiris and Coimbatore.
City Outlook:
Chennai – Partly cloudy day with maximum of 34 C with chance of rains in suburbs and city later in the day.
Coimbatore – With light rains possible in the textile city, the day will be cloudy and the temperature will end up between 30-32 C.
Madurai – Will continue to remain as the hottest city in Tamil Nadu at 36-38 C with light precipitation possible during end of the day.
Trichy – Dry day on cards with day time temperature settling around 35-36 C.
Vellore – Pleasant day with a chance of a light shower later in the day with maxima ranging between 32-34 C.
