Thunderstorms to brighten up the evening skies over North TN

Yesterday’s Low pressure area persists and now lies over Jharkhand and adjoining Gangetic West Bengal. Also, the offshore trough runs from South Gujarat coast to North coastal Kerala.
Many parts of Tamilnadu is likely to see fair weather except for isolated thunderstorms in one or two areas with no major changes expected from the prevailing weather.
Scattered rains may be expected over Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states, whereas coastal Karnataka can expect some heavy rains while Kerala will continue to have widespread rains but of reduced intensity.
Widespread rains may be expected over much of Central/North India outside Rajasthan where it may be scattered. The Eastern/North Eastern parts of the country is also expected to receive bountiful rains during next two days.

Chennai – A windy morning combined with light cloud cover, a maximum of 36 to 37 degrees and a minimum of 28 degrees with thundery development possible during late evening.
Madurai – No major relief expected as maximum may continue to be around 39 to 40 degrees and a relatively better minimum of around 26 to 27 degrees.
Trichy – Partly cloudy skies with a maximum of around 36 degrees and a minimum of around 28 degrees.
Coimbatore – Typical Kovai pleasant day of 32 degree maximum and minimum of 24 degrees with good winds.
