Above normal maximum temperature can be expected over most parts of TN

The western disturbance as an Upper Air Circulation (UAC) over north Pakistan extending upto 3.6 Kms above Mean Sea Level (M.S.L) persists.The induced UAC over north Rajasthan and adjoining Punjab & Haryana also persists. Apart from the above systems, series of troughs also persist over central and eastern parts of the country. Under their influence, rainfall activity is likely at many places over north east, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir during next 24 to 48 hours. Hail/thunderstorms likely to occur at isolated places over north eastern parts of the country. Also, thunderstorms with squall is also likely over Jharkhand, Odisha and West Bengal.
Down south, above normal maximum temperature can be expected over most parts of Tamilnadu, Rayalseema and Telengana with largely dry weather dominating. Parts of kerala and adjoining ghat areas of Tamil Nadu can expect some rainfall activity.

Chennai – A warmer than normal day with a maximum of around 35 degrees and a minimum of around 24 to 25 degrees. The sky condition would be generally clear to partly cloudy. Forenoon (0900 to 1200 hours) is especially bound to be warm and humid.
Madurai – Sky condition would be partly cloudy, a maximum of 38 to 39 degrees and a minimum of 27 degrees will continue to make things uneasy and oppressive.
Trichy – Partly cloudy skies with a maximum of 39 to 40 degrees and a minimum of 23 degrees will give rise to a somewhat pleasant late nights/early mornings.
Coimbatore – A maximum of 38 to 39 degrees will make for an uncomfortable day with a mildly pleasant minimum of 24 to 25 degrees.
Vellore – The maximum temperature likely to hit between 39 and 40 degrees with a minimum continuing to be a tolerable 24 degrees.
