Coastal TN to remain an Oasis amidst intense heat over interior TN

A Trough from Marathwada to Comorin Areas across interior Karnataka and Interior TN extending upto 0.9Km above MSL persists. Interior TN like Vellore, Salem, Trichy, Madurai, Karur will continue to see abnormally high temperatures. But some of these places could also receive a few thunderstorms during the week. The coastal belts of TN will be lucky to see some acceptable weather.

A few places in Kerala are also poised to see some showers during the week AP, Telangana and North interiors parts of Karnataka will also see intense searing heat during the week. Hailstorm or Thunderstorm possible over places like Assam and Meghalaya.

City Forecast:
Chennai – The city will continue to get a respite from heat and the max temp will be around 36.

Vellore – Continues to burn under the heat with a max temp of 42c.

Madurai -The temple city will see another century i.e. 100F day. Maximum temperature could scale 40c.

Tiruchirappalli- The Rockfort city will see another hot day with mercury touching 41c.

Coimbatore – Hot day on the cards with a max temp of 40c.
