Fair weather to continue across most parts of the peninsula
Most parts of Southern India will continue to see sunny and warm weather over the week in the absence of any significant system. A large low pressure area continues to persist along Orissa, Jharkhand and the Indo Gangetic plains. Westerly winds continue to dominate resulting in uncomfortable temperatures across most parts of the country. Coastal temperatures will continue to be in the mid-30s as sea breeze sets in thereby providing some relief but this in turn will result in high real feel temps due to the humidity. Isolated rainfall will continue across parts of Kerala with a slight drop in temperature indicated across the Malabar Coast as the peak summer season slowly winds down across these areas.
Severe heat warnings indicated for: North interior TN, Telangana, Jharkhand, Interior Orissa and Gangetic West Bengal.
