A Trough of Low at mean sea level persists near South Andaman Sea and the adjoining areas. Under its influence, scattered rain/showers likely to occur over Andaman and Nicobar islands during the next 24 – 36 hours. Meanwhile, fair weather is set to continue across most parts of South Indian states during the next 12 – 24 hours, after which cloudy weather can be expected over coastal districts of TN and South coastal AP.
Isolated light showers/ drizzles to occur after a 24 hour period in the aforementioned areas. Numerical Weather Prediction Models continue to indicate a possible Monsoon spell after 36 – 48 hours mainly impacting Sri Lanka and adjoining South Tamil Nadu and some parts of coastal TN.
