Lacklustre Summer set for a final punch

Hot weather conditions prevailed over most parts of Tamilnadu in the last 2 days with Mercury crossing 40°C in a few places.
Chennai Nungambakkam recorded back to back days of 40°C+ temperatures. Summer hasn’t lived upto the expectations in 2021. The season (March-April-May) has seen and Average 60 mms of rainfall in few stations.

India’s saviour, The Southwest Monsoon 2021 is all set to kick start from the end of this month. Most parts of coastal and ghat areas of Kerala are likely to witness Monsoonal downpours.

Wet weather or rather respite from heat is likely from the First week of June for parts of Tamilnadu with the subsequent onset of the Monsoon. Hot and Warm weather likely to prevail over most parts of tamilnadu for he next 2 days. Early sea breeze likely to give respite from the heat for the coastal areas.

Cyclone Yaas made landfall in Odisha with wind speeds varying from 90-120 kmph per hour on 26th May.
