Light rains possible in South Tamil Nadu

The low pressure area over southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining equatorial Indian Ocean persists. Under its influence, light rains are possible in south Tamil Nadu in isolated places in Ramanathapuram, Tirunelveli, Toothukudi and Kanyakumari districts. The rains will slightly increase in quantum from Tuesday.

Chennai – Another hot day on cards with maxima around 31-32 with real feel heat increasing due to low RH. Night will continue to be above normal with minimum close to 23 C.

Coimbatore – Sizzling heat will continue with day temperature peaking close to 33-34 C. Night Temperature will settle at 20-21 C.

Madurai – Uncomfortable day with both day and night temperature above normal close to 34 C and 23 C respectively.

Trichy – Temperature will be around normal at 33 C while night temperature will be at 21-22 C.

Vellore – Day temperature will peak at 32-33 C while night temperature will be close to 20-21 C.
